Church Begins Rebuilding Of Roads Destroyed By Boko Haram

Church of the Brethren in Nigeria (EYN) have started the reconstruction of roads damaged by Boko Haram attack in Mubi town of Adamawa state.

According to the Pastor in charge of the Church Rev. Nasara Albert, who led the members of the church to Secretariat Road, Arhan-Kuno to begin the flag off of the reconstruction

” The church observed that residents of this area had to divert to other routes, especially those using cars due to the deplorable nature of the roads.

“We decided to repairs the road as part of community service, (which) is one of the fundamental ethic of EYN church and to complement government efforts”.

“Many churches and mosques were destroyed by the insurgency.

The government should intervene in rebuilding them to promote religious tolerance. Governor Bindo should come to our aid by rebuilding worship centers in the insurgency-affected towns and villages.”
